Let the Expert Do It!
Just before my trip to Japan, I had a new grooming assignment. My new customer; Ginger is a beautiful and big dog. Her owner was there to supervise the grooming section. She is really a dog lover; giving Ginger the best that she could. Before the grooming starts, Ginger was feed with banana. Their maid was instructed by the owner to be around to help out and to make Ginger at ease. I am glad to have an extra helper but also felt tense to have the owner supervising my work. Our fury friend will get a bit winy when they have someone familiar around. After understanding the owner’s requirement, she left the job to me. “Let the expert Do it” she said. Somehow it was not communicated properly. The standard SKC grooming style that I had groomed for Ginger (1/3 shaved at the ear) was not what the owner wanted. Lesson Learnt: “DO NOT ASSUME” It was a valuable lesson. I will try to ask more before every session.
